My Thoughts:
The Vampire Academy series is one of the few vampire series I continue to follow (along with Sookie Stackhouse and the Morganville vampire series) It is also one of the rare series that I feel has become more exciting and entertaining as the series goes on. And it’s going to be made into a movie! There is a great mix of drama, mystery, romance, action and friendship in this series, along with the inevitable love triangle. Rose is a complex heroine with her life at a crossroads and a lot at stake.
In this installment Rose and Lissa are nearing graduation from St. Vladimir Academy. Rose is figuring out who she will be responsible for as guardian. Lissa is dealing with politics and how to use her powers . Rose is also trying to move on with Adrian, as she promised herself she would try to do. Adrian seems like a great match for Rose, and I really like his character.  Meanwhile, Dimitri is still tracking her and still always in her thoughts. Rose embarks on a complex and dangerous mission to try and find a way to save Dimitri’s soul.
This book was full of excitement and adventurous twists and turns. I was surprised by the outcome and on the edge of my seat reading this novel. You can tell that the series is coming to a conclusion and I have no idea what is going to happen next. I can’t wait to read the final installment The Last Sacrifice due out December 7.
