Wow it’s July already! How’s everyone doing with their reading goals? Need some inspiration or are you looking to catch up on the books on your shelves? I always need to catch up of course, but I still have my eye on several books due out this month:
July 3:
Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield (July 5) – A summer murder mystery that looks intriguing.
Dark Companion by Marta Costa – A gothic novel that centers on a girl in the foster care system who gets invited to attend an exclusive boarding school, but strange things are happening there.
Once by Anna Carey – The sequel to last year’s Eve
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson – I’ve always liked Peter Pan, and this re-telling sounds lovely and sad.
July 10:
Don’t You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire – A popular girl gets a taste of the popular life when her dad’s invention sends her to a parallel universe.
The Forsaken by Lisa M. Stasse – I just recently heard about this dystopian, and it sounds action-packed and intense.
Insignia by S.J. Kincaid – Another fast-paced dystopian that looks really great.
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman – For high fantasy fans, Seraphina has been getting high marks.
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness – The highly anticipated sequel of A Discovery of Witches.
Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols – Contemporary romance fans, be sure to pick this one up!
The Thing About the Truth by Lauren Barnholdt – Both parties have something to hide in this contemporary romance.
July 17:
The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer – As a Gleek I’m curious about this book, and I like middle grade books so I’d give it a chance.
July 24:
Cold Fury by T.M. Goeglein – I like that this mob and action adventure mystery is something you don’t see often in YA.
Endlessly by Kiersten White – The last book in the Paranormalcy trilogy.
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard – Zombies and steampunk, it sounds really imaginative and fun.
July 31
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry – An intense romance from a debut author.
What are your July must-reads?
You make me want to get into YA fiction again! And Discovery of Witches is in my TBR pile, so I’m sure I’ll be reading the sequel.
Hello July – looking good! I am looking forward to Once and Insignia, they both should be great reads!
I think a lot of people have their eye on Shadow of Night.
I just finished Something Strange and Deadly, it was really good! I’m hoping to read Eve and Once together this month too.
There’s so many good reads already this summer! I need to get my hands on a copy of Endlessly and finish that series. I’ve heard Tiger Lily is really good too! Great list, I want to read like everything here!
I’ve been hearing such good things about Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone! It looked really creepy and whatnot when I saw it first, but since then it’s gotten amazing praise. I looooove books edited by Julie Strauss Gable in general and John Green has tumbl’d about so… 🙂
cannot wait for such a rush!
