Happy September! I’m ready for fall, how about you? I’m excited about the books I received this week, and also that it’s a nice manageable list.
These are the books I received this week:
Purchased & Gifted:
Defiance by C.J. Redwine – I’ve been looking forward to reading this one and hope it doesn’t disappoint!
The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna – There’s a lot of 5-star reviews for this book and I’m really eager to read it.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky- Surprise package from Small Girls PR. Looking forward to reading this before seeing the movie later this month.
Awkward by Marni Bates – $2.99 kindle edition
Jenny Pox by J.L. Bryan – free kindle edition
Review:
Dear Teen Me: Authors Write Letters to Their Teen Selves by E. Kristin Anderson – Netgalley. Features letters from YA authors Lauren Oliver, Robin Benway, Sara Zarr, Katherine Longshore, Jessica Spotswood, and many more.
Professor Gargoyle (Tales from Lovecraft Middle School #1) by Charles Gilman – From Quirk. The lenticular cover features a portrait of the professor that morphs into a demon. Creepy!
Hope you found lots of bookish goodness in your mailbox this week!
omg that Gargoyle cover rocks! I so <3 Quirk talk about a fantastic publisher.
I should pick up The Perks of Being a Wallflower – I’d like to read it before the movie comes out.
If the covers are any indication you have some entertaining books in your mailbox! Enjoy!
I like the WallFlower Book…sounds good.
Beautiful blog…I don’t think I have visited before. NEW E-MAIL SUBSCRIBER.
I have already read the book I received last week and have an author giveaway for it. LOL!! 🙂
Have a good week.

Silver’s Reviews
I didn’t realize that they were making a movie of that book. I guess that’s why I’ve been seeing it around some!

These titles look very tempting…thanks for sharing, and enjoy!
Here’s MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Jenny Pox is really good, I hope you like it! I’ll be getting Defiance from the Library at some point, might check the other books out too. Have a good week Lucy!
The cover of The Lost Girl creeps me out since she has no face, but it sounds very interesting. I also want to read Perks, but I have to wait until the movie comes out (I’m weird like that) and I think it will bereally cool to see what authors have to say to their teen selves. I am stoked about Tiger Lily, I have a Tinker Bell obsession and love the fact that the book is written from her POV. Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading 🙂
I love the book Awkward. It is sooooo funny. I am really excited for Marni Bates second book, Decked with Holly, to be released 9/25. Hope you like it.
Thanks for telling me about that, Decked with Holly looks so cute. I love holiday themed books. No wonder Awkward is on sale!
nice haul, lucy. i just saw lost girl today and almost picked it up. the thought of my towering book pile deterred me this time but i am curious to know what you think of it. defiance looks really good, too. enjoy your new books!
