Mailbox Monday #15

September 9, 2012 Mailbox Monday, Young Adult 15

Mailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs. BookNAround s is the host for the month of September.

Just a few books this week, and since I’m still playing catch up with my reading that’s just fine with me!

These are the books I received this week:

Purchased:

The Torn Wing by Kiki Hamilton – Book two of The Faerie Ring series came out early so that’s a nice surprise. I bought the kindle edition.

Review:

The Liar, The Bitch and The Wardrobe by Allie Kingsley – Received from Berkley/Penguin. The premise reminds me of The Devil Wears Prada – it’s about a girl who gets a job working for a famous fashion photographer and gets sucked into the glamorous life, which she discovers is not all it’s cracked up to be. The author is a Hollywood insider, so she knows what she’s talking about.

Love Unscripted by Tina Reber – Read Now title from Atria Books via Netgalley. This book is about an A-list actor and a small town bar owner and their unlikely romance. Looks like it could be cute, but the 650+ page count is a little intimidating.

Hope you found lots of bookish goodness in your mailbox this week!

I’m entertained by the clever allusion in the title of The Liar, the Bitch, and the Wardrobe. It sounds like a fun read too. Happy reading this week!

whoa – 650 pages? i got the ng email, too, and it sounded kind of cute but i don’t know about that length for a romance book. and i still need to read the faerie ring. that’s probably out in paperback by now. i totally wanted to read it when it came out but never got around to it.

have fun with your new books, lucy!
