I’m reading Reflected in You now, and I read Bared to You last week. I like the series, they are guilty pleasures for sure. And yeah, The Morganville series is up to 13 books now! But they are all short, fast reads, and lots of fun. Thanks for stopping by, Thuy!

  4. Wow, you did have a good week! I’ve heard a lot about the ‘to you’ series – are they better than 50 Shades?

    1. Lucy says:

I think the You series may be better, though they are similar to Fifty Shades, so if you like one you’ll probably like the other.

  5. That reminds me I have been wanting to read Attachments, sounds great – enjoy!

I really liked Maggie Stiefvater’s Scorpio Races, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the Shiver series so I wondered about the Raven Boys books. You’ll have to review it when you finish reading it and let us know what you think. As for Rachel Caine, I have such mixed feelings about her books. I started on the Morganville Series a long time ago, but I just couldn’t get into them. The reason escapes me now, but I know I just didn’t like something about them. I’ve read her adult series, the Georgia Kincaid succubus series and the Weather Warden series. The succubus books had some issues particularly the dynamics between the main love interests. I could never understand, other than for fate, why they insisted on being together when they seemed to make each other miserable most of the time. But I was still sucked into the books and looked forward to the next one each time.

    1. Lucy says:

      Thanks for the great feedback!
I miss the Succubus series and am sad it’s over. I know what you mean about the love interest though- I thought there was potential romance with at least one of the other characters.
The Morganville series is fun for me, and I’m curious to know what didn’t work for you. I haven’t tried out her Weather Warden series.
I wonder if Raven Boys will be more like Scorpio Races or Shiver. It’s interesting that readers like one or the other.

      1. squee1313 says:

I know exactly which other love interest you are talking about and I have to admit I was rooting for him the whole time. They seemed so much more compatible, but with him I guess there was no chance for Georgia to redeem herself.
Maybe I’ll give Morganville another go. Maybe I tried reading too many of them back to back. I’ve found with most book series, its better to take a little break between each book.
