Mailbox Monday #22

Mailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs.

These are the books I received this week – I see a lot of audiobook listening in my future:

Audiobooks for Review:

Crewel by Gennifer Albin, narrated by Amanda Dolan – from AudioGo and Audiobook Jukebox. I really enjoyed this audiobook!

Safekeeping by Karen Hesse, narrated by Jenna Lamia – from Macmillan Audio

Because It Is My Blood by Gabrielle Zevin, narrated by Ilyana Kadushin – from Macmillan Audio

Lucid by Adrienne Stoltz, Ron Bass, narrated by Jessica DiCicco and Emma Galvin – from Penguin Audio

Venom by Fiona Paul, narrated by Kathleen McInerney – from Penguin Audio

Colin Fischer by Ashley Edward Miller, narrated by Jesse Eisenberg – from Penguin Audio

In the Pleasure Groove written and read by John Taylor – from Penguin Audio. Teen me is very excited to listen to this one!

Cold Days by Jim Butcher, narrated by James Marsters – from Penguin Audio.  I really want to listen to this, since I hear the books are great and Marsters does an amazing job with the narration. But- this is book #14 of the Dresden Files and I haven’t started this series. Think I’ll be too lost, or can the books work as stand-alone?

Dream More written and read by Dolly Parton – from Penguin Audio. This looks fun, it’s not really a memoir, but Parton shares her philosophy of life.

The Patriarch by David Nasaw, narrated by Malcolm Hillgartner – from Penguin Audio. A biography of Joseph P. Kennedy.

Review Books and eBooks:

Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens – from Netgalley/ Gallery Books

Easy by Tammara Webber – SO good!! Received pb edition from Penguin/Berkley. Also, Penguin is sponsoring a US giveaway here – be sure to enter!

Belle Epoque by Elizabeth Ross – from Edelweiss / Delacorte

Spirit and Dust by Rosemary Clement-Moore – from Edelweiss / Delacorte

Purchased:

John Green limited edition box set (not pictured) – includes hc copies of Looking for Alaska (autographed), An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars (autographed). Really great looking set!

Hope you found lots of bookish goodness in your mailbox this week!

That’s a good idea to check out book 1 of Dresden from the library- I’ll look into that! This is a lot of audiobooks this week, even for me- it’s a little intimidating. Hope we both like Lucid!

WOWsers! Your ears are going to be busy 😉 can’t wait to hear what you think about Spirit & Dust. I have one of Rosemary’s books on my shelf. She seems to like the creepy side of YA.

That’s a great audio-haul! I love audiobooks too. I’m glad to see Crewel was good in audio, that’s on my to-read-soon list, but maybe I’ll listen instead.
