Mailbox Monday #47

Mailbox Monday buttonMailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs. It’s a new month and a new MM host- stop by 4 the Love of Books to link up for May.

This weekend I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but I had fun at a vegan food & beer fest, shopping and spending family time so it’s all good.

May is such a huge book month- time to make that summer reading list!

Books Received:

This Girl by Colleen Hoover – From Atria Books via Netgalley. This is Slammed from Will’s POV and you can bet I’ll be reading this one very soon.

Human Remains by Elizabeth Raines – From HarperCollins via Edelweiss. This is a thriller that sounds pretty disturbing. It’s about a police analyst who finds her next-door neighbor dead, where she had been for quite some time but nobody noticed.

The Lost Sun by Tessa Grattan – From Random House via Edelweiss. The first book in the United States of Asgard mythology series.

Untold by Sarah Rees Brennan – From Random House via Edelweiss. I have the first book Unspoken on hold at the library – heard good things about the series.

Stargazey Point by Shelley Noble – From William Morrow via Edelweiss. This is about a documentarian who hides out in an old beach resort to recover from a personal tragedy.

Finding Colin Firth by Mia March – From Gallery Books via Edelweiss. This is from the author of the Meryl Streep Movie Club, and this time centers on Colin Firth’s movies. How fun!

How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True by Sarah Strohmeyer – Won from Gone Pecan – thanks! And speaking of summer, this looks like a great hot weather read. It’s described as The Devil Wears Prada set in Disney World.

Rising Darkness by Thea Harrison – Won from Berkley Romance. I entered a twitter giveaway and won five books in Berkley’s Happy Friday giveaway. This one is the first book in a new paranormal romance series.

White Lines by Jennifer Banash – Borrowed from the library. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. Like the title suggests, this is a book set in the 80s, and looks at the underground club world in New York. Every time I see this cover I get the song stuck in my head.

The Memory of After by Lenore Appelhans – Kindle book purchase– it’s on sale for under $4. This is Level 2, but with a new name and cover. I like afterlife books, and I’m glad to own a copy of this finally!

Tessa Masterson Will Go to Prom by Brendan Halpin, Emily Franklin – Kindle book purchase – it’s on sale for $6. Pulled from the headlines, this is about a girl who fights to escort her girlfriend to prom.

Lonely Souls (Witch Avenue #1) by Karice Bolton – Kindle freebie for a limited time. This one is a NA paranormal that centers on witches.

Let me know what you’re reading in the comments. Have a good week!
