Top Ten Sweet Summertime Reads On My TBR

sunglasses

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature from The Broke and the Bookish. This week we’re counting down the Top Ten Books On Our Summer TBR. My beach reads list focused mostly on adult fiction audiobooks, so this list is more YA intensive.

I read 8/10 of the spring books on my TBR, so hopefully I can keep that streak going.

Summer will be sweet with these books:

1. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins – Can’t wait to see Isla, Josh, Anna, Etienne, and Lola and Cricket again!

2. Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson -Matson’s books  and perfectly suited for summer.

3. On the Fence by Kasie West – This book appeared on many “books to take to the beach” lists and now I can’t stop thinking about it!

4. Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas – I like a good thriller in the summer, and this is another book that’s received a lot of positive attention.

5. The Merciless by Danielle Vega  – Scary movies are fun in the summer, why not YA horror? From the blurb, “By the shockingly twisted end, readers will be faced with the most haunting question of all: Is there evil in all of us?” Eek!

6. The Bridge from Me to You by Lisa Schroeder – This is about life in a small town, family, friendship, and love.

7. Complicit by Stephanie Kuehn -This psychological thriller sounds so good!

8. Like No Other by Una LaMarche – Two teens get stuck in an elevator during a hurricane and fall for each other, though their relationship is forbidden.

9. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – I can’t resist CoHo’s books. I just read a sample of Ugly Love and it left me hanging!

10. Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead – Speaking of leaving me hanging, I must know what happens in the next Bloodlines book!

What’s on your summer TBR?

  10. I feel like such a dolt for forgetting to include Isla and the Happily Ever After for my TTT. I am soooo excited to read that this summer.

I’m reading On the Fence right now. It is super cute. So far, I don’t like it as much as The Distance Between Us, but I’m really enjoying it.

  11. Silver Shadows is on mine but I am one behind in that series 🙂

  12. Definitely want to read more Kasie West this summer! Great list!

Oh, I can’t wait to read Isla and I can’t believe I forgot it from my list. It’s going to be amazing, I just know it!
And your numbers 2 to 6 are, with a few more, on my “next to buy” list. Really looking forward to all of these!
Oh, and Complicit sounds amazing, plus I heard great things about the author!

  14. Your first three books are on my list, too! So many positive reviews and early reactions. 🙂 I hope COMPLICIT is good–I really liked the author’s YA debut, and it was strange and beautiful in ways that I think you’d appreciate, so I bet this one will be great, too.

  15. I think I’m going to see if my library has Dangerous Girls because this is a book I have been seeing a lot, too. I don’t normally do thrillers, but I’m curious about this one! On the Fence was really good. I definitely recommend that one!

  16. Huge YES to Isla! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever and day for that book.

  17. Summer/Sunny says:

Yes! Isla looks great, but I’ve read Since You’ve Been Gone and On the Fence and they are PERFECT summer reads. I really wish I had savored them more just so that I could read them more in summer!

  18. Bonnie @ For the Love of Words says:

I recently read Dangerous Girls and it was extremely good! Definitely a well-written thriller.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  19. I can not wait for Isla and the Happily Ever After. I feel like I have been waiting for that book to come out forever and its almost here.

    Happy Reading,
