Review: Burned by P.C. Cast, Kristin Cast

Burned (House of Night, #7)Burned by P.C. Cast
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Burned, the seventh installment of the House of Night series kicks off right where we left off in Tempted. After Zoey’s soul has shattered, it’s up to her friends to try to bring her back.

In a refreshing change of pace we get multiple POV in this book and I would not mind to see that continue in future books.

After the last book Tempted I was not sure I would continue with this series, but I’m glad to see this was an improvement story-wise.

Stark and Rephaim were stand outs in this book. Can’t wait to see how Stark handles his new role, and what is next for Rephaim and Stevie Rae. And it’s great to see Aphrodite so strong and mature now as the series progresses.

The pace starts out slow in the beginning, for the first 100 pages are so. Some of the dialogue and pop culture references are a little distracting as usual. But for the most part it was a gripping story.

The next book is due out in January 2011: Awakened
