In My Mailbox (17) – week ending May 14

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren and she was inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie. It is a way to feature the books you purchased, borrowed or received for review each week.

I have been in a bit of a reading slump this month so far. I found some book bargains on Amazon, and received some interesting review books. Hopefully one of these books will snap me out of my slump:

For Review:

Everything You Need to Survive the Apocalypse by Lucas Klauss

Gone, Gone, Gone by Hannah Moskowitz

Minding Ben by Victoria Brown

Past Perfect by Leila Sales

Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz

Bought:

The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson

Bite Club by Rachel Caine

Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers

Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

Looking for Alaska by John Green

Sisters in Sanity by Gayle Forman

What did you get in your mailbox this week? Happy reading!

WOW!You got a lot this week! I got Witches of East End about a month ago but still haven’t read it yet. It looks good though.
I’ve been in a reading slump this week. I’ve only read 1 book and usually I can at least manage 2. I have to many projects I’m working on and 2 kids…sometimes I wish I could lock myself away!

    1. Witches of East End does look interesting & I’m looking forward to reading it soon. Let’s up both of us will have more time to read soon!

I’m just starting ‘Past Perfect’ — I know I should read a ton of other ones before that one since it’s out in October, but I can’t wait! I loved Leila Sales first book.

I need to read ‘Looking for Alaska’ .. the only John Green I’ve read is ‘Paper Towns’ and I really loved it. I also want to start The Morganville Vampire books, but I’m a little intimidated since there are so many out already.

      Ashley,

Definitely pick up Looking for Alaska. In fact, go to the library right now. Like right now. 😀 I’m joking, but you really should read it, it’s fantastic.

    2. I’m so curious about Past Perfect too. The Morganville books are fast reads- you could get through them in no time.

I actually just finished The Adoration of Jenna Fox, so look for it on my blog soon. It was also amazing, and that ending? BEAUTIFUL.

Oh, and by the way, I had a couple questions for you. How do you get all the pictures the same size exactly? Do you use some kind of other software, or is there a WordPress feature I don’t have any idea about? And also, how do you add your own widgets to the sidebar? Like badges and your Recently Read “mini-pages”? Thanks!

    1. Glad you liked Looking for Alaska & The Adoration of Jenna Fox. I’m excited to read those. Will look for your review!
I’m going to email you directly about your WP blog questions. Thanks!

  5. The Handmaid’s Tale is awesome. Like seriously rip your heart out and hand it to you on a platter awesome. I think you’ll hate it but at the same time, you’ll be awed by it. Everything else looks fantastic as well. Enjoy!
