Top Ten Most Anticipated Winter Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish featuring a new top ten list each week. Everyone can participate- head on over to their blog and sign up.

For this week’s topic we are featuring our most anticipated Winter reads. There are so many interesting titles due out this winter, and it was definitely a challenge to narrow down my list. I’ve chosen a mix of sequels and debuts from contemporary, historical, to dystopian. It looks to be a great winter!

In order of publication date, these are some of my most anticipated Winter reads:

2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer – Jan. 3, Feiwel & Friends. From Goodreads: “A futuristic re-envisioning of Cinderella in which Cinder is a cyborg mechanic.”

3. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green – Jan. 10, Dutton Juvenile. I’ve pre-ordered this one and it seems to be about a girl that finds love in a cancer support group. Hope it is not too heart breaking.

4. A Million Suns (Across the Universe #2) by Beth Revis – Jan. 10, Razorbill. I’m ready to learn more about the spaceship Godspeed and see the further adventures of Elder and Amy.

5. Hallowed (Unearthly #2) by Cynthia Hand – Jan. 17, HarperTeen. Unearthly is the only book about angels that I’ve really loved, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

6. Truth (XVI #2) by Julia Karr – Jan. 19, Speak. The sequel to the edgy dystopian XVI. In this one, Nina joins an organization working within the Resistance.

7. Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood – Feb. 7, Putnam Juvenile. It’s a historical fiction book about witches, with romance, and an alternate history.

8. Article 5 by Kristen Simmons – Feb. 14, Tor Teen. A dystopian debut about 17 year old Ember who remembers the way society used to be before the world fell apart.

9. The Fine Art of Truth or Dare by Melissa Jensen – Feb. 16, Speak. From Goodreads: “Pretty in Pink meets Anna and the French Kiss in this charming romantic comedy.” Sounds fantastic!

10. Fever (The Chemical Garden #2) by Lauren DeStefano – Feb. 21, Simon & Schuster. I loved Wither and can’t wait to see where Rhine and Gabriel’s journey takes them.

Did any of these books make your list? What books are you eager to read?
