Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Q&A

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award book tagThank you to Jenna, Kathy & Chelsea for tagging me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award! I’ve seen this tag popping around and thought it would be a fun thing to do post-Thanksgiving hangover! Thanks to the blogger who started this tag and to the bloggers who tagged me!

Guidelines:

  1. Thank the blogger that nominated you and link back to their website.
  2. Post the award’s logo on your blog.
  3. Answer the ten questions you have been asked.
  4. Nominate ten other bloggers and ask them ten other questions.

I’m going to answer a few questions from each blogger who tagged me.

From Jenna @ Jenna Does Books:

we need diverse booksHow many books do you read a week, on average? This year it’s been 3 on average.

What is one thing you wish you’d see more of in fiction? More diversity!

Do you consider yourself a book hoarder? Why or why not? Yes and no. I do own dozens (er, hundreds?) of books I haven’t read. I’m starting to give my shelves a hard look though to donate books that I’m no longer interested in. And next year I plan to really read from my shelves and try The TBR Challenge.

What time of day do you read most often? Morning, noon or night? I listen to audiobooks at any time of day since I can multitask while listening. I usually read a book/ebook in bed at night.

From Kathy K @ The Novelty of Life:Shelfie

Do you prefer hardback or paperback books better? I prefer hardbacks, especially if they are signed!

Do you re-read books? Why or why not? I do! It helps to read an old favorite when I’m in a reading rut.

What is your most read genre of the year so far? Realistic Fiction is my go-to genre.

outlanderFrom Chelsea @ Books for Thought:

Coke or Pepsi? Diet Coke (but really my favorite beverage is iced tea)

Books turned into movies or tv shows? I would like to see more books as TV shows, like Outlander and the upcoming Big Little Lies. Sometimes there’s not enough time in a two hour movie to do the book justice.

Do you play any instruments? I played the flute for many years, even in my high school marching band!

Tag… you’re it!

I am nominating YOU for this award! If you would like to play along here are ten questions for you to answer:

What is your favorite….

1. Book format (ebook/physical book/audiobook) and why?

2. Book to TV/Movie Adaptation?

3. Bookstore?

4. Bookish App?

5. Book accessory?

6. Book couple?

7. Book you’ve read this year?

8. Reading spot?

9. Book blogger discovery of the year?

10. Holiday book or movie?

  1. I am a total book hoarder. I go through and downsize once in a while but overall, it’s pretty insane. I do want to be better about it next year though so that the book guilt gets better.
