The very first audiobook that I tried was confessions of a shopaholic. It was years ago but I have not looked back since and listen to 2-3 a week now.

I think the first audio book I listened to was Outlander. Davina Porter is such a great narrator for those books that it’s no wonder I fell in love with them.

  3. Recorded books have such great titles 🙂

My first audiobook was Drood by Dan Simmons which was a little challenging for a first audiobook. I was making a lengthy commute each work day at the time, so I kept at it. Mary Roach was an awesome nonfiction author to fall in love with via audiobook.

Before I knew it, I was reviewing audiobooks I had borrowed from my library, and then I found Audiobook Jukebox, which is a site that offers audiobooks for review. That has been great ever since.

Now I have a home business, so I get to listen to audiobooks all day while I work, and also while I do some house chores or cook. I also like like to listen to audios while I play Civ IV. I don’t watch much TV since I found audiobooks, and I feel smarter for it!

I started listening to books on CD from the library a few years ago while I was on the treadmill or driving. I signed up for Audible after a whiling was hooked. Now I listen whenever I have a chance.

I started listening to audio books due to a vision problem. I have been hooked ever since! I listen when I am sewing or working out in the garden! At this time, I listen to about 1 audio book a month.
