Top Ten YA 2015 Releases I Missed

Top Ten Tuesday button

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature from The Broke and the Bookish. This week we are talking about all the books we didn’t get to read last year.

I love this topic because I am kicking myself for not getting to several books that I wanted to read. So, this list will help me remember to fit them in this year! Plus, I own all of these books in print or audio so there is really no excuse!

I didn’t read as much YA in 2015 as in past years so it was easy to find ten I want to catch up on and that is what I’m focusing on today.

Here are my Top Ten YA 2015 Releases I Missed:

The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes

Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older

The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler

I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios

The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma

Conviction by Kelly Loy Gilbert

Out of Darkness by Ashley Hope Pérez

Bone Gap by Laura Ruby

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Have you read any of these titles? Let me know what you think I should prioritize!

I didn’t get to read some of these either. I want to read Bone Gap as well, but not sure when just yet. Six of Crows is at the top of my list of books I need to read, so I will probably get to that in a couple of moths tops. I read The Walls Around Us and really enjoyed it. Hope you’ll get some time to read them all.

You 100% need to read Six of Crows! It’s my favorite from Leigh Bardugo, because it was exciting and complex and so hard to put down once I’d started. I also really enjoyed The Summer of Chasing Mermaid and I’ll Meet You There, both spectacularly done contemporary YA novels.

Bone Gap is amazing. It was probably my favorite read of the year. Every Last Word is also really, really good. There were a couple of tears shed with that one.
