What’s New in November: What to Read and Watch

november fall wreath what to read and watch

Happy November! How was your Halloween? I gave out lots of candy to trick-or-treaters and also a few ARC’s. I received a cold in return- boo! This month we have Thanksgiving, Novels, Mustaches, and a return to Stars Hollow to enjoy. Here’s what’s on my radar this month:

November Books

YA

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon – On sale now. Lots of hype about this one! I plan to listen to the audiobook soon.

You in Five Acts by Una LaMarche – On sale now. Five friends attending a NYC performing arts school dream of stardom.

Girls in the Moon by Janet McNally – Nov. 29. Phoebe seeks the truth about family secrets from her musical family while navigating first love.

Encore by Tara Kelly – Nov. TBD. This companion book to 2011’s Amplified is rumored to come out this month.

All in Pieces by Suzanne Young – Nov. 8. A girl with anger-management issues struggles to keep her family together.

Die for You by Amy Fellner Dominy – Nov. 8. Emma watches her parents’ marriage fall apart and shortly after finds herself in an unhealthy relationship.

Fiction

And Every Morning the Way Home gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman – On sale now. And every Backman book title also gets longer and longer! I just heard about this novella recently, and all his books are lovely so into the queue it goes.

Swing Time by Zadie Smith – Nov. 15. This will be my first by this author. Swing Time is about female friendship, dance, and cultural identity.

Faithful by Alice Hoffman – On sale now. Shelby has survivor’s guilt and tries to find herself again.

The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer – Nov. 15. Meyer’s first adult novel since The Host is a mystery thriller about an ex-agent on the run looking to clear her name.

memoir

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick – Nov. 15. Kendrick is so funny I’m lol-ing just from reading the blurb.

Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls, and Everything in Between by Lauren Graham – Nov. 29. Something to read after binging GG!

streaming

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life –  Nov. 25th on Netflix. Are you watching too?? Are you planning to binge all 4 episodes at once or spread them out?

The Crown – Nov. 4th on Netflix. This new 10-episode series is about Queen Elizabeth II and it’s said to be the most expensive TV series ever. Color me intrigued!

What are you watching and reading this month?

  1. The Sun is Also a Star was really good. I hope you like it!! I’m super excited for All in Pieces… and Die For You sounds SO good. I’d never heard of it before, but that has me written all over it!!! I also can’t WAIT for more Stars Hollow 🙂

Love Your list of books. The chemist by Stephenie Meyer is a book I’m very interested in. Read all of her other books. Not so fan of Twilight today, even though I did love it when I first read the series. But love The host. Anna Kendrick is one of my favorite Young actors. I love her. Can’t wait to read the book 🙂

  4. I’m listening to The Sun is Also a Star and it’s great so far!
