#AudioMonth Giveaway: Easy and Breakable by Tammara Webber

June is Audiobook Month and I’m celebrating with a giveaway of one of my favorite New Adult series! Tammara Webbers’ Contours of the Heart series includes Easy and Breakable, and if you haven’t tried NA yet, these are great starter books that will get you hooked on the category in no time.

Easy and Breakable are about college students named Jacqueline and Lucas. Jacqueline is healing after a breakup and traumatic experience and falls for Lucas. Breakable is Lucas’ story and covers events prior to Easy, as well as the Easy story from his perspective. Both books are flirty and swoon-filled but also offer positive messages of female empowerment and overcoming hardship to reach your goals. And both are 5-star reads/listens for me!

I’ve read Easy (review here) and listened to the audiobook but realize I’ve never reviewed the audio! From my book review: “Easy is one of my new favorites in the New Adult genre – I loved the characters and message and instantly felt an emotional connection to the story. When I picked it up to read one night before bed it kept me up late into the night as I told my husband I’d only be reading one more chapter. I was sad to see it end honestly and wish there were more books like this one.” The audiobook is performed by Tara Sands (The Language of Flowers, Pushing the Limits) and she is the perfect voice for college student Jacqueline. Her voice gains strength throughout the novel just like the character, and her take on Lucas is spot on as well. Listen to a sample of Easy:

I’ve listened to Breakable (audiobook review here) and said: “Zachary Webber has a throaty voice that’s a good fit for Lucas. He has to go through a full range of emotions to perform Lucas/Landon’s parts. Webber does a great job of conveying Mr. Maxfield’s emotional landscape in Breakable, from his childhood years to the present day. He has a wide range of voices in his repertoire, from Lucas’ calm and cool voice, to the various girls/women in his life, and he does a mean “old man” voice. I sped up the audiobook a little because I was impatient to get through the book, though Webber’s pacing was steady and consistent throughout. I’d listen to this audiobook again.” You may recognize Webber’s  voice from Maybe Someday or Red Hill. Listen to a sample of Breakable:

Thanks to my friends at Brilliance Audio I have a copy of the Breakable audiobook to giveaway- and since I didn’t want you to have only half of the story I’m throwing in an audiobook of Easy too. Giveaway is open to US/Canada entrants age 18 and up.

The giveaway has ended. Thanks to everyone who entered! Congrats to Miranda who won audiobook copies of Easy and Breakable.

I haven’t read many new adult books, but I think my favorite so far is Killing Sarai by JA Redmerski.

My favorite audiobooks are the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I forgot the name of the woman who reads it, but she is fantastic. She has great voices for all the different characters, and it really seems like she’s performing, not just reading. I already love the books, but the audio performance made it even better.

I’m hopeful about these audiobooks. I’ve already read Easy, which was awesome, and I can’t wait to read Breakable!

I love the Lunar Chronicles audiobooks too! Rebecca Soler does an awesome job.

Hope you enjoy Breakable as much as Easy! The narration is great, and plus it’s so interesting to learn more about Lucas.

I’m not sure what classifies as New Adult. I checked out some lists on GoodReads and I hadn’t read any of the titles they showed except a couple of titles I felt were more YA. I read Lisa Renee Jones’ IF I WERE YOU which I think might fall into this genre. I noticed that EASY seemed to appear on most of the NA lists so I’d really like to give it a listen.

New Adult is about college age characters- age 18-25 or so. I’ve read If I Were You and I think it’s more Romance/Erotica than NA but the line is a little blurry there. I really hope you try out EASY! Let me know what you think if you do 🙂

Why thank you! I’m glad Wendy could introduce us 🙂 I enjoyed Ten Tiny Breaths too – I think I’m a few books behind in that series now. Glad you’re interested in checking out Easy and Breakable!

  13. OMG… I’ve had so many favs lately… My last one was His Captive Bride, an historical romance. I’ve currently listening to Reaper of Dreams, the sequel to Sower of Dreams. Both have been very good… they’re sci-fi romances.
