holiday reads

Do you like to read holiday books this time of year or maybe indulge in a holiday movie or two? I’ve been feeling a little blue this year so I have been trying to read more cheery, feel-good holiday reads to get a little mood boost. There are a lot of new holiday reads out this year and luckily for us there are many book deals to be found online, and I’ve included links to some festive deals I spotted on Amazon at the end of the post.

To spread a little holiday cheer I’m sharing my Top Ten Holiday Romance Roundup.

YA – Tried and True:

My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins – Twelve holiday stories from all your favorite authors!

Let it Snow: Three Holiday Stories by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle – Three heartwarming interconnected holiday stories1

Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan – A NYC story with snow and a holiday scavenger hunt!

Snowed In by Rachel Hawthorne – This wintry romance is set on a charming little island, with sleigh rides and boy drama.

Adult – New Holiday Favorites:

Every Time a Bell Rings by Carmel Harrington – Inspired by It’s a Wonderful Life, this emotional read is set in Ireland and is about Belle, a foster mother who is devastated when her foster daughter returns to her mother.

The Great Christmas Knit-Off by Alexandra Brown – Sybil was left at the altar and decides to leave town. She arrives in charming Tindledale and her passion for knitting helps save a struggling knit and craft shop.

The Mince Pie Mix-Up by Jennifer Joyce – Judy and Calvin are a married couple that thinks the other one has life easier. A Freaky Friday twist helps them get perspective this holiday season.

One Wish in Manhattan by Mandy Baggot – Hayley and her daughter Angel spend Christmas in New York. Hayley’s looking for romance and Angel is hoping to find her real dad.

The Twelve Dates of Christmas – The Complete Novel by Lisa Dickensen – Claudia’s relationship with her long-term boyfriend fizzles out and rather than face the holidays alone she decides to embark on the twelve dates of Christmas.

Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater by Debbie Johnson – Maggie is a single mum alone for the holidays when she meets Marco on the snowy streets of Oxford. He seems perfect except for the Christmas jumper.

What are your holiday romance favorites? Any on the list catch your eye?

Many of the books are pretty affordable ebooks if you’re interested. I added a few more holiday bargains too:

These are the cutest! I really need to read some of these books!

  2. I don’t think I have read any of those! 🙂

  3. I don’t read a lot of holiday themed stories but I do like them occasionally. I have Let It Snow still sitting unread on my shelf which I need to get to. I love A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas. It’s a historical romance novella and I always like to bring it out at Christmas.
