Mailbox Monday buttonMailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs. Mailbox Monday is on tour, and you can link up at I Totally Paused! this month. 2014 is looking like an awesome year in books. Can’t wait to read these latest titles when I get caught up with Cybils reading!

New arrivals at Casa Reading Date:

Audio & E-books:

Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker read by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York  – For review from Simon & Schuster Audio. This is book three in the Ten Tiny Breaths series.

Enders by Lissa Price for review from Delacorte/EdelweissI listed this one on the top ten sequels I can’t wait to read so I was excited about this one!

Another Little Piece of My Heart by Tracey Martin from review from Harlequin Teen/Netgalley – Don’t you have the song stuck in your head seeing that title? The book premise is reminiscent of Audrey, Wait in that a break-up inspires a hit single.

Tease by Amanda Maciel for review from Balzer & Bray/Edelweiss – A story ripped from the headlines, this book is about bullying and the suicide of the tormented girl.

Life by Committee by Corey Ann Haydu for review from Katherine Tegan Books/Edelweiss – A girl spills her innermost secrets to a secret club and in exchange has to complete a daring assignment.

The Taking by Kimberly Derting for review from Harper Teen/ Edelweiss – The first book in a new sci-fi series about a girl who loses 5 years of her life (but doesn’t age). Now she has to piece together her missing past.

Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman for review from Balzer & Bray/Edelweiss – World War II historical featuring a forbidden romance. Looks good!

Exile by Kevin Emerson for review from Katherine Tegan Books/Edelweiss – A teen band manager falls for a lead singer and gets caught up in the mystery of his missing father. Cute cover, and I’m liking all the music YA coming up.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart for review from Delacorte Press/Edelweiss – Well hello amazing blurb from John Green! This is a suspense novel set on an island about a group called The Liars.

Purchased:

Champion by Marie Lu – Not sure when I’ll get to read this, but the reviews are very positive so far! I picked up the hardcover which is gorgeous, and Day’s chapters are in red ink.

Charm & Strange by Stephanie Kuehn – In my reading pile now, and it sounds like a gorgeously strange little book.

Sex & Violence by Carrie Mesrobian – Also in my reading pile, this book was recently named by PW as one of the best children’s books of the year. The book I received from Amazon seems to be signed too- nice!

Silent by Sara Alva – Read a great review of this one so picked up the kindle edition.

What exciting new books did you pick up this week?

Tease sounds very intriguing…I admit I was tempted by it on Edelweiss. I hope you love Enders! I really enjoyed Starters so I’ll be looking for that one for sure:)

Exciting haul this week! I saw Champion at the store and I so wanted it; I loved loved loved the red writing (it also reminded me slightly of the Shiver series?)
The Enders cover is striking – I really want to read Starters at some point!
    Enjoy your new books! 🙂

Looks like you’ve got some great books lined up there! I bought Unholy Night by Seth Graeme Smith because it looked like it could be weird but good and The People of the Great Journey by O.R. Melling because it looks deliciously magical and mysterious with a touch of romance thrown in! Just how I like em! 🙂

What a delightful week for your mailbox!

How did you manage to get We Were Liars? That’s probably one of my most anticipated reads for next year, and I don’t see it on Edelweiss (I’m literally sitting in stats class right now reading your blog and looking these books up!)
