I’m happy to be the next stop on the Where You’ll Find Me blog tour! Today I’ll talk a little about the book, share an author guest post about her character’s New Year’s Resolutions, and tell you about a cool giveaway!
Where You’ll Find Me comes to you from Entangled Teen and is Erin Fletcher’s debut. WYFM is a book about two damaged teens who fall in love in a garage. (In fact the manuscript was formerly called Garage Boy!)
About Where You’ll Find Me :
When Hanley Helton discovers a boy living in her garage, she knows she should kick him out. But Nate is too charming to be dangerous. He just needs a place to get away, which Hanley understands. Her own escape methods—vodka, black hair dye, and pretending the past didn’t happen—are more traditional, but who is she to judge?
Nate doesn’t tell her why he’s in her garage, and she doesn’t tell him what she’s running from. Soon, Hanley¹s trading her late-night escapades for all-night conversations and stolen kisses. But when Nate¹s recognized as the missing teen from the news, Hanley isn’t sure which is worse: that she’s harboring a fugitive, or that she’s in love with one.

And now I’m thrilled to welcome author Erin Fletcher with a fun guest post:
Character New Year’s Resolutions
Okay, readers. Confession time. It’s been 2014 for 9 days. How many of you have already given up on your New Year’s Resolutions?
Don’t feel bad. I can’t keep a resolution longer than a week or two. And I have a feeling some of my characters from Where You’ll Find Me might not be great at keeping resolutions, either. Since the story starts in January, I thought I’d share some of their resolutions, in their own words.
Hanley: Stop skipping school. (Except when I’m hung-over.) Stop getting grounded. (Except if a party is worth sneaking out and getting caught.) Start exercising. (Yeah…I needed something positive, but that one’s probably not going to happen.)
Nate: I don’t have a New Year’s Resolution. My resolutions are one day at a time: stay warm. Stay safe. Stay hidden. I’ll worry about everything else later.
Heather (Hanley’s sister): I have many resolutions that I fully intend to keep:
- Get accepted to the University of Michigan on a full scholarship.
- Become valedictorian of Thomas Edison High School.
- Volunteer in Edison’s mathematics tutoring program.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables.
Rosalinda (Hanley’s best friend): Sleep less. Party more. Concoct the world’s most perfect Jell-O shot. Oh, and buy those cute shoes I saw at the mall last week!
Misty (Hanley’s friend): I want to lose a few pounds. Give those jerks at school a reason to call me something other than “Tubby.” I mean, at least they could be original with their insults. Come on already.
Clinton (Hanley’s friend): Get a new fake ID, and don’t lose it this time. Get into Michigan State University. Can you say “party school?” Getting in might be a long shot, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s this guy.
So, what do you think? Do any of these characters have a shot at keeping their resolutions? If not, there’s always next year!
Thanks, Erin! These sound like mostly attainable goals to me. I like Heather’s big ambitions!
Erin Fletcher is a morning person who does most of her writing before sunrise while drinking excessive quantities of coffee, believes flip-flops qualify as year-round footwear, and would spend every day at the beach if she could. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (which is almost never useful when writing books) and lives in North Carolina.
