There are several YA adaptations hitting the big screen this year, and one of the movies that has me most excited is The Fault in Our Stars. TFIOS comes to you from 20th Century Fox, from director Josh Boone. Based on the best-selling book by John Green, TFIOS stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort (both also appear in Divergent) as Hazel and Gus. I am cautiously optimistic about this one from what I’ve seen so far!
Okay? Okay. The trailer debuted today and finally, here it is!
Doesn’t that trailer give you chills? It’s really cool seeing these scenes from the book come to life, and the actors seem perfectly cast. Love the gorgeous shots from Amsterdam too.
Look for the trailer to hit movie screens Feb. 7 – maybe before Vampire Academy! The Fault in Our Stars movie drops in theaters June 6 so there’s plenty of time to catch up with the book if you haven’t read it yet!

The trailer looks good. I’m looking forward to seeing how the actual film will be.
Ooh, thanks for posting this. I hadn’t seen the trailer yet!
My first thought: HAzel looks too tall/old, and Gus doesn’t look nearly hot/hipster enough. =/ Somehow the trailer still made me a little teary-eyed, though! T_T
I did enjoy the trailer, but I know what you mean about being cautiously optimistic! I do hope the movie all comes together, because it could be spectacular:)
So excited for this movie! I just hope they get everything right and I don’t forget my tissue box.
Yay! It looks like it’s going to be really good!
I can’t wait to see this movie! I just hope they do John Green’s masterpiece justice… unlike the Percy Jackson movies…
I am so excited about this movie. I remember the night I finished the book. I sat awake until 5am sobbing and trying to find other people online who had finished it as well. I won’t be in America to see the movie in theaters…. grr…
oh my goodness. I have so many feels for this book and the trailer looks just as good and I am going to fangirl so hard when I see the movie on June 6! 🙂
that’s encouraging 🙂 have TFioS in my February reads, so yay!
Well, Gus doesn’t exactly live up to my expectations, and I’m a little afraid the dialogue won’t be as enticing on the big screen as it was in print… nevertheless, I’m excited to see the film version. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing it here!
I loved the book so I can’t wait to see the movie. You’re right, this trailer gave me the chills.
Wow, trailer looks awesome! I am so excited to see the film, though I just know it will make me cry all over again.
