Mailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Link up and find new mailboxes to stalk at the Mailbox Monday blog!
Here’s my week in books:
Books in the Mail:
The Story of Owen by E.K. Johnston – I’m reading all the Morris nominees for a blog tour, and this fantasy is set in an alternate world where humans and dragons fight over fossil fuel.
The Boy in the Black Suit by Jason Reynolds – Seventeen-year-old Matt works in a funeral home to help put food on the table at home, and to deal with his mother’s death.
The Scar Boys by Len Vlahos – This is another Morris nominee, and it’s about a boy named Harry who was burned by bullies in a lightning storm. He finds solace when he joins a rock band.
Review eBooks:
Sweet by Emmy Laybourne, Joyride by Anna Banks, When Reason Breaks by Cindy L. Rodriguez, Becoming Jinn by Lori Goldstein, The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler, Most Likely To Succeed by Jennifer Echols, For the Record by Charlotte Huang, The Uninvited by Cat Winters, The Canterbury Sisters by Kim Wright, The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert
Thanks so much to: Lerner Books, Penguin Random House, Macmillan, Bloomsbury, Simon & Schuster and HarperCollins.
