Books in the Mail:

mailbox monday (145)

Invincible by Amy Reed – This is described as The Fault in Our Stars meets Go Ask Alice. That’s quite a mashup! It’s the first book in a duology about a girl with cancer that sinks into addiction.

Encore to an Empty Room (Exile #2) by Kevin Emerson – This is a sequel so I need to see if this one can work as a standalone. Anyway, it’s a music-centered book and I like those. It’s about a band manager / high school student who is dealing with her band’s huge success while making her college plans.

Drive Me Crazy by Terra Elan McVoy – Aw this sounds cute. This book is about two girls that don’t know or like each other well. They are thrown together when their grandparents marry and now all four of them are going on a honeymoon road trip. Sounds like a sweet friendship story!

City Love by Susane Colasanti – This is about three girls that are spending the summer in NYC before starting college and it’s told in alternating POV. Could be fun!

The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey – I am dipping my toes into fantasy again, and I’m quite enjoying this urban fantasy so far. It has a Daughter of Smoke and Bone feel to it.

Review eBooks:

This is a good month (season) to dip toes into fantasy again. I, too, am reading a lot of fantasy in May…it just seems that faeries come out with the new buds, somehow. 😉

  4. Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the Mary Kubica – I’m umming and ahhing over it. Drive Me Crazy sounds like heaps of fun!
