Mailbox Monday (140)

Mailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Link up and find new mailboxes to stalk at the Mailbox Monday blog!

My kid is getting back from Europe tomorrow so things will soon be back to normal! I did get through a few books this week but seem to have lost my review writing mojo. Does that ever happen to you?

Books in the Mail:

The Dead Lands by Benjamin Percy – This was a surprise book in the mail! I think Andrew is going to give this one a go. This post-apocalyptic thriller is a reimagining of the Lewis & Clark story, and take a look at that blurb from Stephen King on the cover.

Twist by Karen Akins – I really liked the time-travel romance Loop and can’t wait to read the conclusion of the story with Twist!

French Coast by Anita Hughes – This is about a Vogue editor who travels to France for a dream assignment and gets more than she bargained for.

Review eBooks:

Scarlett Undercover by Jennifer Latham – This book is supposed to appeal to fans of Veronica Mars and features a Muslim American heroine. Sold!

  3. Both Twist and French Coast caught my eye. I would love to be somewhere sunny in Europe right now!

  4. Enjoy your books! I read something by Anita Hughes (Market Street), so French Coast is tempting me. Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Oh – I want the first two, Dead Lands and Twist. They both sound like books I would enjoy.
Hope your kid arrives home safely. I try to stay up with at least three reviews a week. That way I seem not to lose my mojo. 🙂
    Happy Reading!

  7. Yep, sometimes I just can’t bring myself to sit at the computer, usually it’s after a big work week/study or a great book that demands to be read! Hope it comes back soon 🙂
