Mailbox Monday #33

Mailbox Monday buttonMailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs. Lori’s Reading Corner is the host for January, so be sure to say hi and link up! Here are my latest arrivals:

Audiobooks:

Prodigy by Marie Lu, narrated by Steven Kaplan and Mariel Stern, Audible credit – I liked this one a lot! A wonderful sequel to Legend.

Goblin Secrets by William Alexander, narrated by the author, from Simon Audio – A MG steampunk fantasy, and a quick 5-hour audiobook.

Books & e-Books for Review:

The Dark Between by Sonia Gensler from Knoph Books via Edelweiss – Love the cover. The author describes the book as “a gothic murder mystery set in Cambridge, England.”

Order of Darkness: Changeling by Philippa Gregory – from Big Honcho Media, Simon Pulse. Gregory’s first YA novel is new to paperback and I’m on a blog tour to support it.

Scent of Darkness by Margot Berwin – from Pantheon Books – This one sounds good – it’s about a woman who is given her own scent from her grandmother, and now everyone is overly attracted to her. The

The Cranes Dance by Meg Howrey – from Pantheon Books – This book is set in the world of the New York City ballet and is also about the sister bond.

Skinny Bitch in Love by Kim Barnouin from Gallery Books via Edelweiss – I own a couple of the Skinny Bitch books and am totally curious to read a novel by one of the authors. It’s about a vegan chef who falls for a carnivore who’s opening a steakhouse in the same space as her cooking school.

Out of Nowhere by Maria Padian from Knoph Books via Edelweiss – This book takes place in Maine where some Somali refugees settle and join the high school soccer team. There’s a culture clash and other drama and the team captain gets caught in the middle.

Happy reading and have a great week!
