Mailbox Monday #37

Mailbox Monday buttonMailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Join in to share your book loot and discover some new book blogs. Unabridged Chick is the host for February, so be sure to say hi and link up!

Hope everyone’s enjoying the 3-day weekend! I haven’t gotten much reading or blogging done, but it’s been pretty fun anyway. It’s a mostly electronic mailbox this week so I’m going with the slideshow edition:

Book purchases:

Sever by Lauren DeStefano – The end of the Chemical Garden trilogy! Wonder what’s going to happen.

The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead – I’ve already listened to the audiobook but the hardcover is for the collection.

Measuring Up by Nyrae Dawn -Bought this when it was on sale for $0.99, but now it is back to $2.99. This New Adult book has lots of 4 & 5 ratings on Goodreads.

Sanctum by Sarah Fine – The kindle edition is on sale for $3.99 and Wendy totally sold me on it.

E-Books for Review:

Fault Line by Christa Desir from Simon Pulse – Male POV about a good guy coping with the aftermath of a tragic event in his love interest’s life.

Anywhere But Here by Tanya Lloyd Kyi from Simon Pulse – Male POV about an aspiring filmmaker dealing with family drama.

Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young from Simon Pulse – This sounds (and looks) like Sliding Doors to me.

Bang by Lisa McMann from Simon Pulse – The second book in the Visions series

Severed Heads, Broken Hearts by Robyn Schneider from HarperCollins – I’m liking all these male POV books! This one sounds like a tearjerker.

An Inquiry into Love and Death by Simone St. James from NAL – This is a New-Adult-friendly historical ghost story about an Oxford student.

Strangelets by Michelle Gagnon from SohoTeen – Read Now on Netgalley. This is about 3 teens in separate locations who are about to die but then find themselves together in an abandoned hospital. Sounds creepy!

Abby Road by Ophelia London from Entangled – About a rock star named Abigail who heads to the beach in Florida to get away from it all, and finds love.

A Happy Accident by Evan Taylor from the author – A contemporary romance about an 80s rock guitarist.

Audiobooks for Review:

Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren from Simon & Schuster Audio – I’m almost finished listening to this one. This one started out as a fanfic a la FSoG and is an office / forbidden romance type book.

Long Shot by Mike Piazza, Lonnie Wheeler from Simon & Schuster Audio – Why, yes, I’m branching out into sports bios!

Books borrowed from the library:

If I Lie by Corrine Jackson – This looks like an emotional military themed contemporary drama. I have lots to read but will definitely be sneaking this one in soon.

Shades of Earth by Beth Revis – I like this series a lot, but decided to get it from the library because I have one book in hc with the original cover and one book in audiobook form. Not sure about the new cover theme, but I’m looking forward to seeing how the series ends.

Happy reading! What books are you excited to read this week?
