Top Ten Books on my Summer Reading List

Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome feature from The Broke and the Bookish and brings you a new top ten list each week. This week the topic is Summer Reads!

Listed in no particular order, here are my top 10 books on my Summer TBR:

1. The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead – The sequel to Bloodlines- I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while.

2. Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols – Summer and Jennifer Echols books are a perfect pairing.

3. This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers – Have to balance out the summer romances with a little intense zombie action.

4. Girl of Nightmares by Kendare BlakeLooks to be even better than Anna Dressed in Blood!

5. Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson – I like the idea of this one. It promises a summer in Italy, romance, fun and a bit of mystery.

6. Serpent’s Kiss by Melissa de la CruzThis is the sequel to Witches of East End, an adult series about a family of witches.ย  The first book had a big twist ending so I’m curious to see what happens next.

7. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarryA passionate intense romance – it’s getting some good early buzz.

8. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson – I’ve been putting off reading this one because I haven’t been in the mood for sad but I’m sure I’ll read it over the summer.

9. Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready – Time to wrap up the Shade series and see how it all ends.

10. Past Perfect by Leila Sales – Many smart bloggers recommended this to me as a great feel good read. I ordered a copy and can’t wait to read it.

What a great list, Lucy! I loved TGL and I am looking forward to the rest of these apart from Pushing the Limits (I didn’t enjoy it) and Serpent’s Kiss (never heard of it) and the Anna book (need to read book #1 first!) I’m super excited for Past Perfect, what a cute cover and This is Not a Test!

  2. Saw the Serpants Kiss at B&N & realized I need to read Witches of East End. Shine is on my summer series pile.

  3. I can’t believe I forgot Such a Rush on my list! I’m so excited about it! I loved Pushing the Limits! It’s one of the best romance contemps I’ve read in a long time. And I’m so happy to see Past Perfect on your list! LOVE that book! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Lucy says:

Thanks for recommending Past Perfect! I’m even more excited to read Pushing the Limits now- glad to hear you enjoyed it.

  4. Second Chance Summer and Flirting In Italian are on my list, too! Even though I’ve seen some mixed reviews about Flirting in Italian, I do still have hopes for it and think it’s a great summer read nonetheless. Agreed about Second Chance Summer, it’s been neglected since I hear it’s a tearjerker, but I’m determined to read it – I love Morgan Matson’s writing too much to put it off much longer! I didn’t put Pushing the Limits on my list, but it’s just begging to be read from my eReader…it has been getting some great reviews, so I think I might cheat and shove it into my list haha.

    Happy reading ๐Ÿ™‚

Er.. Flirting in Italian sort of made me very angry. It’s not what it appears to be, shall we say. Past Perfect was adorable, though! And I can’t wait to read Girl of Nightmares. I’ve also been craving a really fabulous contemp romance lately and Pushing the Limits has been getting such good reviews!
