Life has been interfering with my reading and blogging time lately so I missed MM last week. But I attended a really fun author signing yesterday and that re-energized me so I’m ready to dive back in. So- yeah I have a lot to read and catch up on! And I bought a bunch of books for the aforementioned author signing to share in another post. Looking forward to checking out everyone’s mailbox this week!

Two weeks of books:

Books & E-Books for review:

Snapper by Brian Kimberling – This is a collection of stories about a bird watcher and Indiana and sounds quirky and fun.

No Attachments by Tiffany King – A New Adult contemporary romance for a blog tour – looks cute.

Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay – A re-imagining of Beauty and the Beast.

Out of This Place by Emma Cameron – Originally released in Australia as Cinnamon Rain. I’m excited to read this novel in verse.

Carniepunk anthology – When I saw the great line-up of authors in this anthology I jumped at the chance to read it. Rachel Caine, Rob Thurman, Kevin Hearne, Seanan McGuire, Jennifer Estep, Allison Pang, Kelly Gay, Delilah S. Dawson, and Kelly Meding are contributors. I do find carnivals so creepy but it does sound like a great setting.

The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White – This one is about the human daughter of Egyptian gods who moves to San Diego to start living a normal life.

Some Quiet Place by Kelsey Sutton – Pretty cover, huh? A girl can’t feel emotions, but she can “see” them…sounds intriguing.

Nowhere but Home by Liza Palmer – This looks great- it’s a funny story about chef named Queenie in small town Texas.

The Paradox of Vertical Flight by Emil Ostrovski – An epic road trip to grandma’s house with a quirky cast of characters. Sounds really different and interesting!

The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson – The conclusion to the Fire and Thorns trilogy.

Rush Me by Allison Parr – A New Adult sports romance. Eager to check it out!

Audiobooks:

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer – I listened to Cinder and was glad to find the sequel at the library.

While We Were Watching Downton Abbey by Wendy Wax – Four friends living in Atlanta gather and bond over Downton Abbey.

Purchased:

This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith – Looks so cute and fun- loved Statistical and can’t wait to read this one.

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson – I checked this out from the library but failed to read it in time. Now it’s mine! (ebook is currently $1.99)

Crossing the Line by Katie McGarry – A Pushing the Limits novella about Lila and Lincoln.

Have you read any of these- what must I read first? Let me know what you’re reading in the comments. Have a good week!
