In My Mailbox (55)

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by The Story Siren where we get to share the books we received over the week for review, purchase, loan or trade.

Over the past 2 weeks I received:

Purchased:

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga- Sounds a little dark and edgy but these reviews convinced me to give it a try.

Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness (kindle daily deal -couldn’t resist)

Memento Nora by Angie Smibert (another kindle deal)

Review:

Silence by Michelle Sagara (DAW books hardcover) – The cover is so pretty, and the book is said to appeal to fans of Buffy and Supernatural. Looking forward to this one.

Let’s Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson (Penguin Audio) – Listening to this now and it’s so hilarious.

The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman (Penguin Audio) – This one is new to audio and it’s a fairy tale type story that takes place in a library where you can borrow magical objects.

Won:

22 YA ebooks from The Midnight Garden’s kindle spectacular 1st blogoversary giveaway. Thanks Wendy! I’ll never run out of books to read 🙂

Library:

When the Sea is Rising Red by Cat Hellisen – It sounds like this one is atmospheric and magical, and I don’t quite know how to describe it, but I wanted to give it a try.

eGalleys from Edelweiss:

The Opposite of Hallelujah by Anna Jarzab

Velveteen by Daniel Marks

Shadowfell by Juliet Marillier

Kissing Shakespeare by Pamela Mingle

Flutter by Gina Linko

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard

Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin

Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock

Until I Die by Amy Plum

Phew! I really need to get reading. Edelweiss is very awesome – have you tried it out yet?

What did you receive in your mailbox this week?
