Mailbox Monday (81)

Mailbox Monday buttonMailbox Monday is a weekly event where we share our latest book arrivals. Link up and find new mailboxes to stalk at the Mailbox Monday blog!

This week was not the best, mainly because of migraines. Ugh! But I’m bouncing back and happy to share my book bounty this week!

Audiobooks:

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, performed by Christy Romano – This book is not new but it’s new to audiobook. I’ve had the book sitting on my shelf collecting dust but I’m glad the series got the audio treatment finally! Thanks to Audible for the review copy.

Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight? Confessions of a Gay Dad by Dan Bucatinsky, performed by the author – This is a very entertaining and humorous parenting book! Thank you Audible for the review copy.

In the Blood by Lisa Unger, performed by Gretchen Mol, Candace Thaxton – I’m eager to dive into this psychological thriller. It sounds so intense and exciting. Thank you Simon & Schuster Audio for the review copy.

Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill, performed by Shelby Lewis, Devon Sorvari – I grabbed this one from my library’s Overdrive collection. It sounds cute and like a YA spin on The Parent Trap.

Netgalley/Edelweiss new arrivals:

Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern – “The Fault in Our Stars meets Eleanor & Park”Holy high expectations, Batman! I’m in love with this book cover and this does sound like the kind of contemporary read I like.

They All Fall Down by Roxanne St. Claire – What an epic book cover! This book is private schools, secret  popularity lists and scandals. Sounds like a PLL type of mystery.

Little White Lies by Katie Dale – This is a mystery thriller about a girl who falls for a mysterious guy – what is he hiding? I want to know!

Like Water On Stone by Dana Walrath – This book is supposed to appeal to fans of Between Shades of Grey and The Book Thief – sold! It’s about the Armenian genocide of 1915.

In Bloom by Kate Delahanty – A New Adult book about a girl whose life changes dramatically when she moves from Pittsburgh to LA. Now she’s a lingerie designer dating a famous rock star trying not to let her new Hollywood lifestyle eat her alive.

Ugh, I was not a fan of The UNbecoming of Mara Dyer. But I do know lots of people that did like that book and the whole series, so I hope you like it.

I have been thinking that I might like to listen to Being Sloane Jacobs. It’s not one I want to read, but listening to it could be fun. I should see if my lirbary’s Overdrive has it.
