Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature from The Broke and the Bookish. This week we are talking about hyped books. I do fall for the hype machine, and read books like Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, Outlander, and the latest book adaptations. Still, there are plenty of hyped books I haven’t read yet and this week I’m focusing on those books I haven’t read yet but plan to. I own almost all of these so there is no excuse!
Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Never Read (But Want To)

The Martian by Andy Weir – I have the audiobook, I’ve seen the movie trailer, and all my book friends love it- time to get to it, finally!
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – My teen is obsessed with this series, there’s a Tim Burton film in the works, the series wraps up this fall, the time is now!

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr – This 2015 Pulitzer Prize winner has been on my radar for awhile, and I checked it out from the library recently but didn’t read it before it expired. I will read it someday though!
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel – Andrew reviewed this one for the blog. I have a copy of the audiobook and have been meaning to give it a listen.

The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson – This psychological thriller is a modern re-imagining of Strangers on a Train – I’m very curious, indeed!
Uprooted by Naomi Novik – Fantasy is not my favorite genre but after seeing so many raves I’m curious about this one.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – I love Maas’ other series so I don’t know why I haven’t read this one yet, and plus I own it in print and audio. It is the first book of a trilogy though, so if I wait to read it then the wait for the sequel is not as long!
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han – I preordered this one but haven’t read it yet. The first book is really cute and ended on a cliffhanger so I really should read this to see how things shake out.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy – The Off-Campus trilogy has a lot of fans and I’m planning to make it my next New Adult series to read.
Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher – Hoover is one of my favorites of the NA world so it’s surprising that I haven’t started this series yet!
Have you read any of these? Which ones are worth the hype?
All the Light is worth it if you love historical fiction. I’d also like to get into station eleven 🙂
Definitely read Weir, Riggs, and Mandel! 🙂
Check out my TTT and my current giveaway.
I really want to read All The Light We Cannot See. It looks amazing! 🙂 I’ve heard great things. I haven’t read a lot of the books on your list! I did enjoy Miss Peregrine though!
I have read ACOTAR and like it, though I haven’t read Throne of Glass. I’ve heard so many good things about The Deal and I plan to read it too 🙂 Great list!
From the books you’ve listed the only books I’ve read was Miss Peregrine’s and Never Never. And both books are worth the hype!
My TTT
Impressive list! I’m afraid to make a list – as is the books i haven’t read yet are piling up everywhere! I’m so glad I read ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE. I highly recommend Jenny Han’s book! If only we could read 24-7! 🙂
I have t read most of these! Oops! I loved Miss Peregrine but I haver read the second book yet. I’ve had The Martian in my wish list for awhile. It sounds great.
I’ve only read ACOTAR and Never Never from this list, although I have a copy of P.S. I Still Love You already. I hope we get to read these books soon! 🙂

I really want to read The Martian as well. In fact, I need to read it so I can return it to my friend.
I love Station Eleven – one of the best books I’ve read this year. You should definitely give it a try! And I’ve heard so many good things about The Martian and Uprooted, I can’t wait to give them a try.
The Deal and Never Never are two super hyped up NA reads that I have not read but would like to. Really cool list. Thanks for sharing!
The Martian do on audio. You will thank me later 🙂
I definitely recommend “All the Light We Cannot See.” It’s fantastic, but you really can’t speed read it.

You have some books I forgot about here The Martian and All the Light We Cannot See. So many books just never enough time.
Definitely on ACoTaR and Riggs novel
Yes! You definitely need to read the Martian, if was such an entertaining read! I want to reread it, but on audio. It sounds like it would be a great one to listen to.
Yes to Uprooted and The Deal! Both are in my 2015 favorite reads. I’m curious how Uprooted will hold for a non-fantasy fan.
The only one I know is ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE. I listened to the book. It was good.
I have NEVER read a Harry Potter book….ouch…who threw that book at me. 🙂
Nor have I read GIRL ON THE TRAIN or GONE GIRL.

A thousand times yes for The Martian, it was so good! I’ve been curious about All The Light, I’ve had a lot of customers ask about it. I’m hoping to get to A Court of Thorns sometime in the next month, I requested the audiobook for review and was approved so we shall see.
Miss Peregrine was good, but I couldn’t get into the sequel as much. I finally broke down and bought The Martian and Never Never.
