With the movie release of Gone Girl right around the corner we are getting all kinds of goodies to devour while we wait for opening night. I’m a Pinterest novice but I can get behind this movie tie-in and seeing the pages of the book come to life in this medium. Amy Dunne’s Pinterest page gives us little clues to decipher about her life with husband Nick.

Gone Girl’s Amy Dunne has a Pinterest account you can explore. In the upcoming movie thriller Gone Girl by David Fincher, ‘Amazing Amy’ Dunne (Rosamund Pike) has gone missing and all eyes are on her husband Nick (Ben Affleck.) Everyone is wondering ‘Did Nick kill his wife?’

As evidence mounts and speculation rises, Amy’s past is coming into focus on Pinterest. What was she like? What were her interests? Did she leave any clues? Explore for yourself at http://bit.ly/AmyDunne

I did a little digging and found a few choice tidbits from Amy’s page. Everything looks pretty and organized on the outside but there are some snide remarks to be found:

  • Amy is not acclimating well to small-town life based on her newest “City Girl” board, though she does have a “Call Me Missouri” board too. She says, “The organized wife gets more things done.” There’s also some darkness to be found on her “Writer’s Block” board.
  • Amy is into the DIY home projects, has a sweet tooth and favors decadent comfort food. She also is that girl that does all the BuzzFeed quizzes.
  • There’s even a page “For Nick” who seems to be a home brewer with a fondness for Breaking Bad (On a Breaking Bad finale party bash pin she notes: “Then maybe we’ll have sex again. And a late-night burger.”) There are also some cocktail ideas for Nick’s bar in “The Bar.”

 About the film

Directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn – unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

It is really fun to read Amy’s notes if you’ve read the book, but it’s also a great introduction to the movie! Check out Gone Girl on October 3.
